These wonderful people were discovered only recently who decided to share their story on social media.
The blind but happy couple, Mr Jimoh Ogunlayi and Mrs Bridget Ogunlayi are both victims of circumstances. Mr
Jimoh Ogunlayi, a graduate of Federal College of Education (Sp.), Oyo with a degree in visual
Impaired/social studies, lost his sight in 1993 due to an accident while the wife, Mrs Bridget lost her
sight in 2008 due to a drug reaction. They got married in 2014.
Their craft which includes making bags, lamp holders, flower vases, flower pots, fruit baskets etc. were learnt from the Nigerian Farm Craft Center for the Blind Isheri Olofin Powerline Lagos.
They make liquid soaps and air fresheners.
The man is the one who fixes wiring and bulbs to the lamp holders by himself.
Apparently, the couple are proving that indeed, there is ability in every disability. They have chosen to make their
hands useful instead of going around begging for alms.
